I care deeply about accessibility to care and human connection. I attempt to resist the transition of therapy to a form of industry for profit and the sale of a therapeutic relationship as a product. I believe wholly in the need of all humans for authentic connection with one another, growth, and acceptance. For that reason, I offer a sliding scale, choose-what-you-pay system that removes a third-party payer and profiter from our relationship. It also allows me not to diagnose my client as though there is some "illness" in need of “cure” by me.
My clients determine their own fee on a suggested sliding scale (80-140). The low end suggested is only what I need to pay for food and housing in our current conditions. Those who can pay more tend to do so. I monitor my income collectively rather than individually and find that this model aligns with both my approach to the therapeutic relationship and to philosophy.
I am in-network with BCBS-NC, Aetna, Medicare, Cigna and Medicaid Colorado Access.
